I would like to thank José Ortega for inviting me to go along on the incredible adventure. He has given me the gift of knowing the true African Sahara and discovering all of its' beauty and challenges. I'm ready to go again any time you need an extra person José!

I have purchased two Traditional Djembe Drums from him and the are remarkable in the quality of craftsmanship and sound.

I would like to give a special thank you to Cristina Canovas Kastenmuller, for being there when I needed you most in Bamako. Being violently sick is no fun in a third world country. I am grateful for your profession. You are a true friend, and a most gracious and beautiful person.

Finally, I would like to thank all of the other travel companions. We had an awesome trip and each one of you made it possible to be so great. I know we will see each other again, and I will keep everyone in my heart and mind.
